EQAO Details and Results

The Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) develops student assessments based on expectations in the Ontario curriculum. The assessment provides information on the achievements of students, and enhances classroom assessment data collected by teachers through the school year.

The EQAO is an independent agency established by the Government of Ontario. The EQAO's mandate is to ensure greater accountability and contribute to the enhancement of the quality of education in Ontario through provincial assessments and reviews of elementary and secondary schools. Visit the EQAO website for more information.

2019 EQAO Assessment Dates for Grade 3 & Grade 6:

Testing will occur during Tuesday, May 21, to Monday, June 3, 2019.  While students won't be writing every day, we would ask that you not schedule any appointments during these dates to avoid conflicts.  A detailed schedule of writing days will be sent home closer to testing time.

Assessment results are not used to rank schools. Reviewing EQAO results, curriculum based assessments, Primary PM benchmarks, and Junior PRIME math information are some of the pieces of data we analyze to inform our school improvement plan and to keep student achievement a priority.
